Christmas in March

It's always a good idea to start Christmas cards early. For this card, I used cardztv stamps for the ho, ho ho sentiment. The paper is from Nicole that can be bought from A.C. Moore when it is Christmas time. A.C. Moore has some of the best paper packs for cards at Christmas time. I usually can get 2 paper packs for around $5. The belt and white strip was created in cricut design space using circle and rectangle shapes. The inside was created with foil that I found from A.C. Moore. It was easy to use the foil, but the results are not perfect. It didn't require any extra materials except what came in the kit. It was basically a glue adhesive that you put on your card. Then you press the foil on top of the adhesive. The problem is that the glue adhesive didn't come off of the packing material very well, so the foil won't stick where there isn't any glue. But this is why I love home-made products. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Dog Birthday Shaker Card

This is my first shaker card. The images came from Misskatecuttables.com. The dog is from the valentine's day section, and the happy birthday is from the birthday section. I used the cricut to cut a circle out of my cardstock. The background paper is from Echo Park 'party time.' The gems were from Walmart. I used foam tape in-behind the circle making sure that I doubled it up. It works easier if you cut the foam tape in half and take the tape off of both ends and then go around your circle. I used the circumference of a circle formula and added about 1.5 to 2 inches to that measurement to ensure that the tape was long enough.

The inside of my card was completed with a Beautiful inside by Altenew. I used the Tim Holtz Stamp platform to help me position my stamps. On the inside, I have a plastic sheet that I drew a grid on to help me position my stamps, since there is no grid on the background.

St. Patrick's Day Card

I created this St. Patrick's day card using an SVG from misskatecuttables.com. The background paper came from a holiday scrapbook paper pack from Hobby Lobby. The stamps came from http://cardztvstamps.blogspot.com/. I used mixed messages, mini messages, and, it's all good, stamp sets all from cardztvstamps. I am blessed to be able to use the stamp set that I won a few weeks ago. To stamp the front of the card, I used versa fine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The inside was done with a green memento ink. I think that we need to tell people in our lives how important they are to us. Cards give us a way to do that.

The Office Birthday Card

My husband loves Dwight Schrute from The Office, so I made him this birthday card. I did a print and cut for the image of Dwight's head from clip art. The words, I cut in black vinyl.  The inside of the card was also cut of of black vinyl. Looking back, it woud have been a lot easier to do a print and cut with the words instead of cutting it out in vinyl. I so far like the cricut vinyl over the Hobby Lobby's vinyl.

birthday card

This is a birthday card that I made using images from misskatecuttables.com and from the elegant edges cartridge on cricut design space. I use the pop up mechanism from lawn fawn to pop up the happy birthday greeting. I cut the happy birthday image, from misskatecuttables.com, then sliced down the center of them to get the card to close. If I had to do it again, I think that I would only slice down the center and fold on the right and left sides of the image. I made this card for Recil Troxel, a 93 year old war vet. The news clipping said that he loves cards. His birthday is in April, and I encourage you to send him a birthday card if you can. https://www.facebook.com/wtae4/videos/147881352773426/UzpfSTI1ODE2NzcyOjEwMTA3MjMzNzUxMjE2NjI5/
